
Gregory Shifrin, pianist
Graduate of Jerusalem Academy of Music (Israel), born in Moscow (Russia), Gregory Shifrin moved to Chicago in 2005. Performing in a piano duo, Gregory won the 7th Murray Dranoff International Two Piano Competition in Miami, Florida (1999) and the 1st International Two Piano Competition in Poland (1999). The Kotlyar-Shifrin Duo were finalists of the 49th International Competition of the ARD in Munich (2000). The Duo has performed as soloists with The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, “The New World“ Symphony Orchestra, The Bialistok Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, IBA, The Israeli Chamber Orchestra, and the Evanston Symphony Orchestra.
Gregory plays piano with Music Institute of Chicago Chorale, Unitarian Church of Evanston, Congregation Temple Chai Long Grove, Youth Choral Theater of Chicago, and Glenbrook South High School.
